Our Story
Cosmic Creation began as a circle of friends drawn to dance, fire, and aerial arts — and grew into a Maine collective making intentional, theatrical performance. We share what we love through shows, classes, and community gatherings rooted in the Oxford Hills and Auburn area.
Every performance is built around the idea that movement is a form of communion: between dancer and audience, between body and earth, between the sacred and the playful.
Our Mission
To make space for transformation through movement — for the dancers we work with, the audiences we share the work with, and the wider community we are part of.
What We Do
The Four Pillars
Four interwoven practices that show up in everything we make — on stage, in the studio, and in community.
Dance
Bellydance, tribal, and ecstatic forms — language without words. We treat dance as the original conversation: between rhythm and breath, between ground and sky.
Fire
Poi, staff, hoop, fan. Fire is the most demanding teacher we know — it asks for full presence and rewards it with ritual, light, and awe.
Aerial
Silk and lyra. The aerial arts ask us to trust gravity, our bodies, and each other. The result, when it lands right, looks like flight.
Spirit
Sacred movement, breath, and gathering. The thread that runs through everything else we do — practice as a spiritual act, art as a way of being together.

Cosmic Creation runs on community generosity. Every contribution helps us cover studio time, rigging, fuel for shows, and scholarships for class members who need them.
